Move platform. Keep your rankings.

Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, WordPress or Astro, in any direction. Every URL you rank for is mapped and redirected before anything moves, and the site gets rebuilt on the way across rather than just relocated.

Live within ten working days of brief lock, or the second half of the invoice waits until it is one 20-minute call and we do the rest price fixed in writing before anything starts

What actually decides whether a migration works.

  1. M01

Your rankings are mapped before anything moves

The fear that stops most migrations is losing the Google traffic the business already has, and it is a rational fear: rankings die when URLs change and nothing tells Google where they went.

So the first job is not the new site. It is pulling every URL you currently rank for out of Search Console and mapping each one to its new address, with a permanent redirect behind it. Expect a dip for a week or two while Google recrawls. A permanent drop is a mistake, not a migration.

  2. M02

We will tell you when not to move

A migration is an expensive way to change nothing if the platform was not the problem.

Plenty of sites are slow, thin or badly structured in ways that will follow them onto any new system, and moving those is a bill without an outcome. If that is what your site is, we will say so on the call and tell you what would actually move the number instead. Some of these conversations end with us talking somebody out of the work.

  3. M03

Any direction, and you keep the keys

Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, WordPress and Astro, in whichever direction makes sense. The hosting account goes in your name, the domain stays registered to you, and you hold every login at the end of it.

That matters more here than on a new build, because the reason a lot of people cannot leave their current platform is that somebody else is holding the keys. We are not going to do that to you.

  4. M04

    Rebuilt, not just relocated

Everyone else on page one for this search is an SEO agency: they will move the site and protect the rankings, then hand you back the same pages you had.

The platform vendors do the reverse and move your files without caring what happens in search. Moving is the expensive part of the job, so doing it without improving what lands is a wasted opportunity. The copy, structure and conversion path get rebuilt on the way across.

The full day-by-day breakdown, D00 to D10
  1. Day 1 · The ranking inventory

Every URL earning impressions comes out of Search Console with its position and traffic, and that list becomes the map. You see it before anything is touched, and it is the document the whole migration is judged against afterwards.

  2. Days 2 to 4 · Redirect map and content audit

Old URL to new URL, one row at a time, including the pages worth merging or retiring. Anything that cannot move cleanly gets flagged here rather than discovered later. Comment threads and platform-specific widgets are the usual casualties, and you get that list in writing.

  3. Days 5 to 8 · Rebuild on the new platform

Pages, posts, images and metadata come across, and the copy and conversion path get rebuilt rather than transplanted. Built and reviewed on a staging URL you can see, not described to you in an email.

  4. Days 9 to 10 · Cutover and watch

Redirects go live with the site, the new property is verified in Search Console and the sitemap is submitted the same day. Then we watch the crawl for a fortnight, because the first two weeks after a cutover are when a missed redirect shows up and the window in which it is cheap to fix.

Moved, and still ranking.

Real migrations for real businesses, with the numbers they produced afterwards. Every figure is the client's own.

What you get

What you actually get.

One product, two ways to start. The monthly is the same either way: what changes is whether you pay the launch fee to keep the door open, or commit and let us waive it. We recommend Committed, because it costs nothing to begin and it is the one carrying the 90-day guarantee. We give you the figure on the audit call, once we have seen the job.

What you get for it.

  1. 01

You get found by people already looking to buy

Your Google Business Profile run properly rather than just filled in, and local SEO across the towns you actually cover: the searches with a job attached, not vanity terms.

  2. 02

You can count the enquiries, not guess at them

Every enquiry your site produces lands in your inbox and in your dashboard, next to the search that produced it. If it is not working you will see it before we tell you.

  3. 03

You stop thinking about the website

Hosting, security, backups, updates and content changes are in the price. Nothing to renew, nothing to chase, no annual invoice you forgot was coming.

  4. 04

    You own it, outright

Design, copy and code. Yours the day the launch fee clears on Flexible, or at month 12 on Committed. Not rented, not held on our hosting.

Before we start we write down what you get in a normal month. If your site hasn't beaten it by day 90, you leave owing nothing and keep the site.

Every client gets a private members' portal: your site's live performance (traffic, rankings, enquiries) in one place, plus first access to services we don't sell publicly.

Agencies quote £10k+ for this. We don't write proposals, we don't have account managers: one person doing the work, and what you pay reflects that.

Our guarantee: Live within ten working days of brief lock, or the second half of the invoice waits until it is.

Fixed price agreed in writing before anything starts.

  • Will I lose my Google rankings when I move platforms?

That is the real risk and it is the whole reason this is a service rather than an export button. Rankings are lost when URLs change and nothing tells Google where they went. Before anything moves we pull every URL you currently rank for out of Search Console, map each one to its new address, and put a permanent redirect in place. Traffic usually dips for a week or two while Google recrawls, which is normal and temporary. What is not normal is a permanent drop, and that is what the mapping prevents.

  • Which platforms do you migrate between?

Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, WordPress and Astro, in any direction. Most of the work we see is someone leaving a builder they have outgrown, usually because the SEO controls are too shallow or the monthly cost has crept up. We will also tell you when moving is not worth it: if the platform is not the thing holding the site back, a migration is an expensive way to change nothing.

  • What is the difference between a migration and a redesign?

A redesign changes how the site looks and reads while it stays where it is. A migration changes what the site is built on. They are often done together and that is usually the cheapest moment to do both, since the URLs are being remapped either way. If you only want the design changed, the redesign page is the one you want.

  • Do I lose my content, images and blog posts?

No. Pages, posts, images and metadata come across. Anything that cannot move cleanly gets flagged before we start rather than discovered afterwards, and comment threads and platform-specific widgets are the usual casualties. You get the list in writing first.

  • → Not sure moving is the right call? Ask us
  • How long does a website migration take?

Ten working days for the sites we normally handle, same as a build. Larger sites with hundreds of URLs take longer and we say so before you commit rather than halfway through. The redirect map is the part that determines the timeline, not the page count.

  • Who owns the site and the accounts afterwards?

You do, outright. The hosting account is in your name, the domain stays registered to you, and you hold the logins. This matters more on a migration than on a build, because the reason a lot of people cannot leave their current platform is that somebody else holds the keys. We will not do that to you.

  • What does a website migration cost?

The same monthly as everything else, with the migration inside it rather than quoted as a separate project fee. If your site is large enough that the redirect mapping is a genuinely bigger job, you get that number in pounds in writing before you commit.

As director of a supported living provider, I needed a website that worked for two very different audiences: families making an emotional decision and local authority commissioners checking our credentials. David at Lucent got this immediately. He researched our sector before writing a single word, asked better questions than agencies three times his size, and delivered a website that does exactly the job we briefed. Straightforward to deal with, fast to respond, and honest about what we did and didn't need. If you're looking for web design in Leeds from someone who genuinely thinks about your business rather than pushing a template, I'd recommend David without hesitation.
