Website redesign. Without losing your rankings.

Website redesign services for UK small businesses, run from Leeds. We pull what you already rank for out of Search Console before anything is designed, map every URL, and rebuild the site to convert rather than just to look newer. Live in ten working days, fixed in pounds.

Live within ten working days of brief lock, or the second half of the invoice waits until it is one 20-minute call and we do the rest price fixed in writing before anything starts

A prettier site that ranks for nothing is a downgrade.

  1. R01

    The rankings survive the redesign

This is the expensive one, and it is the failure mode the cheapest website redesigns almost guarantee.

Change URLs without redirects, rewrite titles without checking what they currently rank for, or cut a page that was quietly earning traffic, and the new site goes live and the phone stops. We pull your current rankings from Search Console before anything is designed, map every existing URL to its replacement, and keep those redirects permanently.

  2. R02

Redesigned to convert, not just to look newer

A website redesign that only changes how the site looks is decoration. The reason most sites underperform is structural: no clear offer in the first screen, a call to action nobody can find, no proof, and a page that takes five seconds on a phone.

We redesign against the decision your buyer actually makes, which is why the copy gets rewritten as part of the job rather than pasted across from the old site.

  3. R03

We will tell you when a refresh is enough

Not every dated site needs replacing. If the structure works and the site is fast, new photography, sharper copy and a tidied homepage will often get you most of the result for a fraction of the spend.

A full website redesign earns its cost when the site is slow, unusable on a phone, built on something you cannot edit, or organised so nobody can find what you sell. We say which one you need on the audit call, including when the answer is neither.

  4. R04

Ten working days, and the price does not move

Website redesigns that run four months are waiting on content and approvals, not design.

We write the copy, work to a fixed schedule, and quote the full figure in pounds before anything is signed. You will see redesigns advertised on this page of Google from £199. That price buys a template with your content poured into it, and no part of what is above.

Protect first. Then rebuild.

  1. 01

    What is already working

Search Console first, before a single design decision. Which pages earn impressions, which terms you rank for, which URLs carry links. That list becomes the protected set: the things the redesign is not allowed to break.

  2. 02

    Structure and copy

The sitemap rebuilt around what buyers search for and the decision they make, then the copy written to it.

This is where a redesign either starts earning more enquiries or quietly stays the same site in a new skin.

  3. 03

    Design and build

Designed against the brief, built custom in Bricks Builder, mobile first, to a Core Web Vitals budget. Fast is a conversion lever before it is a ranking one, and dated sites are usually slow sites.

  4. 04

    Migration and launch

Every old URL mapped to its replacement with a 301, redirects tested before launch rather than after, schema and analytics carried across, and the switch made at a quiet hour.

Downtime measured in minutes. Then we watch Search Console for a fortnight to catch anything the crawl surfaces.

What you get

What you actually get.

One product, two ways to start. The monthly is the same either way: what changes is whether you pay the launch fee to keep the door open, or commit and let us waive it. We recommend Committed, because it costs nothing to begin and it is the one carrying the 90-day guarantee. We give you the figure on the audit call, once we have seen the job.

Not ready to choose? book the free audit and decide after

What you get for it.

  1. 01

You get found by people already looking to buy

Your Google Business Profile run properly rather than just filled in, and local SEO across the towns you actually cover: the searches with a job attached, not vanity terms.

  2. 02

You can count the enquiries, not guess at them

Every enquiry your site produces lands in your inbox and in your dashboard, next to the search that produced it. If it is not working you will see it before we tell you.

  3. 03

You stop thinking about the website

Hosting, security, backups, updates and content changes are in the price. Nothing to renew, nothing to chase, no annual invoice you forgot was coming.

  4. 04

    You own it, outright

Design, copy and code. Yours the day the launch fee clears on Flexible, or at month 12 on Committed. Not rented, not held on our hosting.

Before we start we write down what you get in a normal month. If your site hasn't beaten it by day 90, you leave owing nothing and keep the site.

Every client gets a private members' portal: your site's live performance (traffic, rankings, enquiries) in one place, plus first access to services we don't sell publicly.

Our guarantee: Live within ten working days of brief lock, or the second half of the invoice waits until it is.

Fixed price agreed in writing before anything starts.

  • How much does it cost to redesign a website in the UK?

You will see redesigns advertised from £199 to £999 on the first page of Google, and they are real prices for a real thing: a new template with your content poured into it. A redesign that also keeps your search rankings, rewrites the copy against what your buyers actually search for, and is built to convert rather than just to look newer, sits between £1,500 and £6,000 across the market. Ours is a launch fee plus a monthly, quoted in full before you sign, and the launch fee is waived entirely if you commit for twelve months.

  • Will a redesign lose my Google rankings?

It can, and this is the single most expensive thing that goes wrong in a website redesign. If URLs change without 301 redirects, page titles are rewritten without checking what they currently rank for, or content that was earning traffic is cut because it looked dated, the new site launches and the enquiries stop. We map every existing URL to its replacement before a single page is built, pull the current rankings from Search Console first so we know what not to touch, and keep the redirects in place permanently. A prettier site that ranks for nothing is a downgrade.

  • Do I need a full redesign or just a refresh?

Often a refresh. If the structure works, the site is fast, and it earns enquiries, then new photography, sharper copy and a tidied homepage will get you most of the way for a fraction of the cost. A full redesign is the right call when the site is slow, unusable on a phone, built on something you cannot edit, or structured so that nobody can find what you sell. We tell you which one you need on the audit call, including when the answer is that you do not need us yet.

  • How long does a website redesign take?

Ten working days for a standard five-page site, from brief to live. Redesigns that take four months are usually waiting on content and approvals rather than design work. We write the copy ourselves and work to a fixed schedule, which is what makes the timeline hold. Larger sites with ecommerce or booking systems take longer, and we say so before you commit rather than after.

  • → Still curious? Book the free audit
  • Can you redesign my site without changing my domain or email?

Yes. The domain stays yours and stays where it is, and your email is untouched because it runs separately from the website. We build the new site alongside the old one, check it properly, then switch it over at a quiet time of day. Downtime is usually minutes rather than hours, and nothing about your email or your existing address changes.

  • Can I get a quote for a website redesign?

You already have it, which is the point of publishing prices. A redesign is the same published figure as a new build, because the work is the same work: strategy, copy, design, build, on-page SEO, plus the URL mapping a redesign needs and a new build does not. Nobody here decides your number after seeing your turnover. What the free audit call adds is not a price, it is a recommendation: sometimes the honest answer to a website design quote request is that your site does not need redesigning and a page of copy and a faster homepage would do it, in which case we say so.

  • What happens to my existing content and images?

We keep what earns and rewrite what does not. Pages already ranking get preserved and improved rather than replaced, because they are the cheapest traffic you own. Photography usually gets reshot or replaced, since dated stock images are one of the fastest ways a site loses trust. You get everything back either way: the old site, the content, and the new build all belong to you.

As director of a supported living provider, I needed a website that worked for two very different audiences: families making an emotional decision and local authority commissioners checking our credentials. David at Lucent got this immediately. He researched our sector before writing a single word, asked better questions than agencies three times his size, and delivered a website that does exactly the job we briefed. Straightforward to deal with, fast to respond, and honest about what we did and didn't need. If you're looking for web design in Leeds from someone who genuinely thinks about your business rather than pushing a template, I'd recommend David without hesitation.
