Brand identity design for small businesses in Leeds and across Yorkshire: logo, colour, typography and tone of voice, designed before the website rather than bolted on after it. One senior, fixed in pounds, inside the ten-working-day build.
Live within ten working days of brief lock, or the second half of the invoice waits until it is one 20-minute call and we do the rest price fixed in writing before anything starts

We do brand identity design first because every layout decision downstream depends on it: the colour, the type, the spacing, the photography. Done in the right order it is one job. Done backwards it is two.
B02
Short enough that you send it to a sign writer or a printer without a covering explanation.
B03
Often the fix is everything around the mark: the colour system, the typography, the consistency. We only recommend a full rebrand when the current brand identity is measurably costing you work, and we will say so plainly either way.
B04
It is the reason brand identity design here runs inside the ten-working-day build instead of dragging across a quarter.
01
Supplied as SVG, PNG and PDF so you are never stuck resizing a screenshot.
02
This is the part that makes a brand recognisable long before anyone reads the name.
03
Written by the same people who write the site copy, so the voice on your homepage is the voice in your emails.
04
A short set of brand guidelines covering application: clear space, minimum sizes, what not to do, and how the brand identity behaves on a van, a business card, a quote document and a website. Practical rules, not a manifesto.

A fifty-year Holmfirth greengrocer, Leeds scaffolders and roofers, a concrete supplier working nationally, an aesthetics clinic. Each brand identity was designed first and the website built for it, not the other way round.

What you get
One product, two ways to start. The monthly is the same either way: what changes is whether you pay the launch fee to keep the door open, or commit and let us waive it. We recommend Committed, because it costs nothing to begin and it is the one carrying the 90-day guarantee. We give you the figure on the audit call, once we have seen the job.

01
You get found by people already looking to buy
Your Google Business Profile run properly rather than just filled in, and local SEO across the towns you actually cover: the searches with a job attached, not vanity terms.
02
You can count the enquiries, not guess at them
Every enquiry your site produces lands in your inbox and in your dashboard, next to the search that produced it. If it is not working you will see it before we tell you.
03
You stop thinking about the website
Hosting, security, backups, updates and content changes are in the price. Nothing to renew, nothing to chase, no annual invoice you forgot was coming.
04
You own it, outright
Design, copy and code. Yours the day the launch fee clears on Flexible, or at month 12 on Committed. Not rented, not held on our hosting.
Before we start we write down what you get in a normal month. If your site hasn't beaten it by day 90, you leave owing nothing and keep the site.
Every client gets a private members' portal: your site's live performance (traffic, rankings, enquiries) in one place, plus first access to services we don't sell publicly.
Our guarantee: Live within ten working days of brief lock, or the second half of the invoice waits until it is.
Fixed price agreed in writing before anything starts.
Across the UK market, a logo alone from a freelancer runs roughly £300 to £1,500, a full brand identity from a small studio £1,500 to £6,000, and an agency brand programme £10,000 upwards. At Lucent brand identity design is not sold as a separate invoice: it is inside the build and the monthly price, because a site designed before the brand exists ends up being designed twice. You get the identity and the site it was made for, quoted in full and in pounds before anything is signed.
A logo on a marketplace costs £20 and looks like it. A freelance designer is usually £300 to £1,500, and a studio identity that includes the logo sits inside a larger piece of work. The honest point is that a logo on its own is the least valuable part of a brand. A mark with no colour system, no type, and no rules for using it will look different on every page within six months. We design the logo as one part of an identity, never as the whole job.
No. Big agencies produce those because the document is the deliverable. Ours is short and made to be used: the logo in every format you actually need, the colour values, the type, and the rules that matter, on a few pages you can send to a printer or a sign writer without explaining anything. If a page of it would never change a decision, it does not go in.
Not necessarily, and we will tell you honestly. If your existing mark is recognised by your customers and structurally sound, throwing it away destroys recognition you already paid for. Often the right move is to keep the mark and fix everything around it: the colour, the type, the spacing, the way it is applied. We only recommend a full rebrand when the current identity is actively costing you work.
It runs inside the ten-working-day build rather than in front of it. Brand work that drags for months is usually a symptom of a long approval chain rather than difficult design. One senior works on it from brief to launch, so there is no account manager relaying feedback and no queue behind other jobs.
Yes. The studio is on Gotts Road in Holbeck, just outside Leeds city centre, and we work across Yorkshire including Bradford, Wakefield, Huddersfield, Halifax, Harrogate, York, Doncaster and Sheffield, as well as nationally. Brand work happens over video calls and shared files, so location changes nothing about the process. Being local matters for the businesses that want someone they can meet, and we do meet them.
Thank you for all your help and hard work we really appreciate it. Highly recommend!!
As director of a supported living provider, I needed a website that worked for two very different audiences: families making an emotional decision and local authority commissioners checking our credentials. David at Lucent got this immediately. He researched our sector before writing a single word, asked better questions than agencies three times his size, and delivered a website that does exactly the job we briefed. Straightforward to deal with, fast to respond, and honest about what we did and didn't need. If you're looking for web design in Leeds from someone who genuinely thinks about your business rather than pushing a template, I'd recommend David without hesitation.
Great professional service. 5 stars isn't enough , don't hesitate to use LD creations absolutely top class at what they do.
A free 30-minute audit. We look at your current brand identity and your site live, tell you honestly whether you need a rebrand or just the things around the logo fixing, and give you the figure in pounds before you sign. The studio is on Gotts Road in Holbeck if you would rather do it in person.
No pitch. No proposal pad. No nurture spam.
