Local SEO services. Win the map pack.

A local SEO agency for UK service businesses, run from Leeds. Google Business Profile, reviews, citations and the local search work that decides who gets the call, reported on enquiries rather than rankings.

Live within ten working days of brief lock, or the second half of the invoice waits until it is one 20-minute call and we do the rest price fixed in writing before anything starts

Local search is won above the blue links.

  1. L01

The map pack is the prize, not the blue links

On any search with local intent, three business listings sit above the organic results with a phone number attached.

That is the map pack, and for a service business it is worth more than page one of the blue links underneath it. It is also won differently: proximity, review volume, category accuracy and profile completeness, not page copy. Local SEO services that only touch your website are half the job.

  2. L02

We tell you when geography beats us

Proximity to the searcher is a ranking factor nobody can engineer away. If a competitor sits in the town centre and you are six miles out, there are searches you will not win from that postcode.

We check that before you pay rather than billing you for a year to chase it. Where the geography is against you we say so, and we spend the budget where it can actually move.

  3. L03

Reviews, counted against the actual leader

Review volume is the lever most local SEO agencies talk about and few operationalise.

We count what the current map pack leader in your town and category actually holds, tell you the gap as a number, and build a request routine you can keep up. Not a one-off push that stalls in week three. Reviews compound and never expire, which is more than can be said for most of what a retainer buys.

  4. L04

Reported on enquiries, not on positions

A ranking report is easy to make look good and tells you nothing about whether the phone rang.

We report calls, direction requests and form fills, because those are the things that pay for the retainer. Thirty days notice, no twelve-month lock-in, and the profile and data stay yours if you leave.

Profile, reviews, citations, and the site behind them.

  1. 01

    Google Business Profile, built properly

Primary and secondary categories chosen against what actually ranks in your market rather than what sounds right, service areas set correctly for a business without a shopfront, services and products filled in, hours accurate, and the description written to be read by a customer rather than stuffed for a crawler.

Set up wrong, a service area business gets suspended, and appeals take weeks.

  2. 02

    Reviews and replies

A request routine that fits how you actually finish a job, the direct review link in the right place, and replies to every review including the awkward ones.

Responding to all of them is a confirmed local ranking signal and the cheapest trust you will ever buy.

  3. 03

    Citations and NAP consistency

Your name, address and phone number stated identically everywhere Google looks. Inconsistent listings across directories quietly undermine the profile, and it is the least glamorous and most reliable fix in local SEO.

  4. 04

    The site behind the profile

Local schema, a real page for each town you serve rather than one page with the names swapped, internal links that connect them, and Core Web Vitals inside budget.

The profile gets you into the pack. The site is what decides whether the click becomes an enquiry.

Scaffolders and roofers in Leeds, a concrete supplier working nationally out of Yorkshire, a fifty-year greengrocer in Holmfirth, an aesthetics clinic. Local search did a measurable share of the work in every one.

What you get

What you actually get.

One product, two ways to start. The monthly is the same either way: what changes is whether you pay the launch fee to keep the door open, or commit and let us waive it. We recommend Committed, because it costs nothing to begin and it is the one carrying the 90-day guarantee. We give you the figure on the audit call, once we have seen the job.

What you get for it.

  1. 01

You get found by people already looking to buy

Your Google Business Profile run properly rather than just filled in, and local SEO across the towns you actually cover: the searches with a job attached, not vanity terms.

  2. 02

You can count the enquiries, not guess at them

Every enquiry your site produces lands in your inbox and in your dashboard, next to the search that produced it. If it is not working you will see it before we tell you.

  3. 03

You stop thinking about the website

Hosting, security, backups, updates and content changes are in the price. Nothing to renew, nothing to chase, no annual invoice you forgot was coming.

  4. 04

    You own it, outright

Design, copy and code. Yours the day the launch fee clears on Flexible, or at month 12 on Committed. Not rented, not held on our hosting.

Before we start we write down what you get in a normal month. If your site hasn't beaten it by day 90, you leave owing nothing and keep the site.

Every client gets a private members' portal: your site's live performance (traffic, rankings, enquiries) in one place, plus first access to services we don't sell publicly.

Our guarantee: Live within ten working days of brief lock, or the second half of the invoice waits until it is.

Fixed price agreed in writing before anything starts.

  • How much do local SEO services cost in the UK?

Most UK small businesses pay between £300 and £800 a month for local SEO, and agencies at the top end of that range are usually charging for reporting rather than work. Ours covers the Google Business Profile, review generation, local schema, citation consistency and the on-page work, with thirty days' notice and no twelve-month lock-in. We give you the figure on the audit call, once we have seen what your market actually demands.

  • What is local SEO, and how is it different from normal SEO?

Normal SEO competes for the blue links. Local SEO competes for the map pack, the three business listings that sit above them on any search with local intent. They are won differently. Blue links respond to content, links and technical work. The map pack responds to proximity, review volume and velocity, category accuracy and how complete and active your Google Business Profile is. For most service businesses the map pack is worth more, because it appears higher and carries a phone number.

  • What do local SEO packages usually include?

A local SEO package should cover four things, and most of the cheap ones cover one. Google Business Profile management: categories, services, opening hours, photos and posts kept current. Reviews: a system that actually asks, plus replies to every one. Local on-page: location pages, local schema, internal links pointing at the pages you want in the pack. Citations: your name, address and phone identical everywhere they appear. Ours bundles all four into one monthly with no separate setup fee, and we tell you what sits in each level before you are asked to decide anything.

  • Should I hire a local SEO agency or a local SEO consultant?

A consultant is usually cheaper and tells you what to do. An agency is dearer and does it. The failure mode with a consultant is a good audit that nobody ever implements, which is the most common way local SEO money gets wasted. The failure mode with an agency is paying for account management rather than work. Ask one question either way: who physically edits the Google Business Profile and writes the pages, and how often. Here it is David, weekly, and you can check the work whenever you like because the profile stays in your ownership.

  • → Still curious? Book the free audit
  • How long does local SEO take to work?

Profile and category fixes can move things within weeks, because you are correcting signals Google already reads rather than building new ones. Review volume takes months, because it depends on real customers responding at a realistic rate. Anyone promising a map pack position by a fixed date is guessing. We report on enquiries rather than positions for exactly this reason.

  • Can you get me to the top of Google Maps?

Not always, and we will tell you before you pay rather than after. Proximity to the searcher is a ranking factor nobody can engineer away. If a competitor sits in the town centre and you are six miles out, there are searches you will not win from that postcode, and no amount of retainer changes it. What we can change is everything else: the profile, the reviews, the categories, the service areas, the site behind it. Where the geography is against you, we say so.

  • Do I need a Google Business Profile if I do not have a shop?

Yes, and it is often more important. A service area business can hide its address and still appear across the towns it covers, which is how trades, clinics and contractors compete without a high street unit. The profile has to be set up as a service area business from the start though. Getting that wrong, or listing a residential address publicly, causes suspensions that take weeks to appeal.

  • Should I search for an SEO company near me, or does location not matter?

It matters for one specific thing and almost nothing else. Proximity is a genuine ranking factor in the map pack, so an agency that understands your town's pack, who holds it and on what review count, is worth more than one that does not. What location does not affect is the work: on-page, technical and content SEO run identically whether the person doing them is ten minutes away or two hundred miles. So the useful version of "SEO company near me" is not who is nearest, it is who has actually looked at the search results in your town. Ask any local SEO specialist you shortlist to tell you the current map pack leader for your main term and their review count. Anyone who has done the work will know it.

  • → Still curious? Book the free audit
  • How many Google reviews do I actually need?

Enough to sit level with whoever currently holds the map pack in your town, which is a number you can count rather than guess. In Leeds web design the pack leader holds eighty-four. In a village trade it might be twelve. We check the real figure for your category and postcode at the start, tell you the gap, and build a review routine you can keep up rather than a one-off push that stalls.

As director of a supported living provider, I needed a website that worked for two very different audiences: families making an emotional decision and local authority commissioners checking our credentials. David at Lucent got this immediately. He researched our sector before writing a single word, asked better questions than agencies three times his size, and delivered a website that does exactly the job we briefed. Straightforward to deal with, fast to respond, and honest about what we did and didn't need. If you're looking for web design in Leeds from someone who genuinely thinks about your business rather than pushing a template, I'd recommend David without hesitation.
