Tradesman website design. Yours to keep.

A site you own outright, not £29 a month forever. Accreditations up front, your own jobs photographed, your number one tap away.

Live within ten working days of brief lock, or the second half of the invoice waits until it is one 20-minute call and we do the rest price fixed in writing before anything starts

A trade website that wins jobs. Owned outright, not rented.

  1. T01

You own it. You don't rent it.

Most trades web offers are £19 to £29 a month. Three years in you have paid over £1,000, you own nothing, and the day you stop paying the site goes, with the URL and the search history attached to it.

Ours is monthly too, and that is where the resemblance stops: the site becomes yours outright: the day the launch fee clears, or at month 12 if we waived it. The WordPress, the brand files, the hosting and the domain, movable to any developer you like.

  2. T02

Built for how trades buyers decide

They check you are accredited and insured, they look for photos of jobs like theirs, and then they call.

So the accreditations go in the header on every page, the gallery shows your own work rather than stock photos, and the phone number is one tap away on mobile. Dunnrite's old site asked people to download a PDF to enquire, which is why nobody did.

  3. T03

    Real trades clients, real numbers

Scaffolders, roofers, concrete suppliers, civils and highways contractors, and the results are published rather than implied.

Procon 24/7 saw a 37% lift in quote requests within two weeks of launch and has returned 9.1× blended on ad spend across four and a half years. ProMax Roofing runs fourteen service pages and over 100 local-area pages.

  4. T04

Ten days, around your working day

You are on the tools, so the build runs on a daily Loom video you can watch at six in the evening and two defined review points.

No workshops, no all-day meetings. You get the figure on the first call, and it does not move once you have seen it.

What you get

What you actually get.

One product, two ways to start. The monthly is the same either way: what changes is whether you pay the launch fee to keep the door open, or commit and let us waive it. We recommend Committed, because it costs nothing to begin and it is the one carrying the 90-day guarantee. We give you the figure on the audit call, once we have seen the job.

Not ready to choose? book the free audit and decide after

What you get for it.

  1. 01

You get found by people already looking to buy

Your Google Business Profile run properly rather than just filled in, and local SEO across the towns you actually cover: the searches with a job attached, not vanity terms.

  2. 02

You can count the enquiries, not guess at them

Every enquiry your site produces lands in your inbox and in your dashboard, next to the search that produced it. If it is not working you will see it before we tell you.

  3. 03

You stop thinking about the website

Hosting, security, backups, updates and content changes are in the price. Nothing to renew, nothing to chase, no annual invoice you forgot was coming.

  4. 04

    You own it, outright

Design, copy and code. Yours the day the launch fee clears on Flexible, or at month 12 on Committed. Not rented, not held on our hosting.

Before we start we write down what you get in a normal month. If your site hasn't beaten it by day 90, you leave owing nothing and keep the site.

Every client gets a private members' portal: your site's live performance (traffic, rankings, enquiries) in one place, plus first access to services we don't sell publicly.

Our guarantee: Live within ten working days of brief lock, or the second half of the invoice waits until it is.

Fixed price agreed in writing before anything starts.

  • How much does a tradesman website cost?

More than the £19 and £29 a month offers you will see, and the difference is what you are left holding. Those are rentals: the day you stop paying, the site goes, and the URL and the search history go with it. Ours is monthly too, but the site becomes yours outright: on the day the launch fee clears, or at month 12 if we waived it, and the monthly is buying continuing work on it, not rent on something you will never own.

  • Is it cheaper to pay monthly for a trades website?

It looks cheaper and usually is not. At £29 a month you have paid over £1,000 in three years and you own nothing: stop paying and the site disappears, along with the SEO history and the URL. Our build is a one-off cost, you keep the WordPress, the brand files and the hosting credentials, and you can move it to any developer you like. Rented sites also tend to be templates shared with a hundred other trades, which is exactly what stops you standing out.

  • Will a website actually get me more jobs?

It will if it is built around how your customers actually decide. Dunnrite Scaffolding came to us four years into trading with a site that would not load on mobile and asked people to download a PDF to enquire: enquiries were near zero. We rebuilt it around the trades buyer's decision path with the accreditations up front and a one-tap call button, in two weeks. Procon 24/7 saw a 37% lift in quote requests within two weeks of launching theirs.

  • What should a tradesman's website include?

Your accreditations and insurance visible immediately (CISRS, CHAS, NASC, Gas Safe, NICEIC: whichever you hold), photographs of your own real jobs rather than stock images, the specific services you offer each with its own page so people find the exact job they searched, the areas you cover, and a phone number that is one tap away on mobile. Trades buyers call, they rarely fill in forms, so the call button matters more than the contact page.

  • I'm a sole trader: is a proper website worth it for me?

Often yes, and sometimes no. If you are booked solid on word of mouth and turning work away, a website is not your priority and we will tell you that on the audit call rather than sell you one. If you are competing for jobs against firms that look more established online, or you want higher-value work rather than whatever comes through the door, then it earns its keep. It is sized for exactly that: a single-location trade business, where one job a year covers the lot.

  • How long does a trades website take to build?

Ten working days from kickoff to live, and kickoff is within seven days of signing. You are on the tools all day, so the process is built around that: a daily Loom video you can watch at six in the evening, and two defined review points. No workshops, no all-day meetings, no chasing you for content.

  • Do you build websites for my trade specifically?

We build for scaffolders (Dunnrite), roofers (ProMax, fourteen service pages and over 100 local-area pages), concrete suppliers (Procon), civils and groundworks contractors (Civcon), and highways contractors (HTS). Plumbers, electricians, joiners, plasterers, builders and landscapers run on the same system. The trade changes the language and the buyer's urgency, not whether it works.

  • Will people in my area find me on Google?

On-page SEO, local business schema and a Google Business Profile setup ship with every build, which is enough to rank for local trade searches in most areas within 30 to 90 days. For ProMax Roofing we built over 100 local-area pages so a homeowner searching their own town lands on a page about their own town. Your Google Business Profile and reviews do a lot of the heavy lifting locally, and we set that up properly rather than leaving it to you.

  • → Still curious? Book the free audit
  • Can I update the website myself, or do I have to pay you every time?

You can do it yourself. We build on WordPress with Bricks Builder, so changing text, swapping photos of recent jobs, or adding a service is a five-minute job with no code. You get a Loom walkthrough and a printed cheat sheet at handover. If you would rather not touch it, the Stay Ahead retainer covers it, but that is a choice rather than a trap.

  • Do you do web design for trades other than the ones listed?

Almost certainly. The published proof happens to be scaffolding, roofing, concrete, civils and highways because those are the clients who let us publish numbers, but web design for trades is the same job underneath: prove you are accredited and insured, show work like theirs, make the phone one tap away, and load fast on a phone in a van with one bar. Electricians, plumbers, joiners, groundworkers, landscapers and plasterers all buy on the same three checks.

  • Do you build websites for roofers?

Yes, and with roofing clients on the books rather than as a category we would be willing to try. ProMax Roofing runs fourteen service pages and over 100 local-area pages and went from 19 to 98 on mobile speed. Headingley Roofing is the other. Roofing web design has two specific tests most trades sites fail: the gallery has to show your own roofs rather than stock photography, because homeowners can tell, and the emergency and insurance-work paths need their own route through the site instead of being buried in a general contact form.

  • What happens if I want to leave, or you go bust?

You keep everything. All WordPress access, the Bricks templates, the brand files, the hosting credentials and the domain are yours, handed over at launch. There is no platform rent, nothing locked to us, and any WordPress developer in the country can pick it up. That is the whole argument against renting a site from a trade-web company that owns your domain.

As director of a supported living provider, I needed a website that worked for two very different audiences: families making an emotional decision and local authority commissioners checking our credentials. David at Lucent got this immediately. He researched our sector before writing a single word, asked better questions than agencies three times his size, and delivered a website that does exactly the job we briefed. Straightforward to deal with, fast to respond, and honest about what we did and didn't need. If you're looking for web design in Leeds from someone who genuinely thinks about your business rather than pushing a template, I'd recommend David without hesitation.
