## A system before a single page.

Built from the founder's logo, three photographs and a written brand brief: colour, type and voice, set down once and used the same way on every page.

**2026** Designed and launched

### What was in scope

1. 01 Design system
2. 02 Website design
3. 03 Copywriting
4. 04 Build and launch

01

### The brief

Pontefract Padel is building two covered padel courts in the grounds of Rogerthorpe Manor, Badsworth. It needed a brand and a website in place before the first game is played.

02

### The challenge

There was no website, no codebase and no colour specification: a logo, three photographs and a written brand brief. The site also had to go live mid-build, so it could not take bookings, quote prices or promise opening hours that do not exist yet.

03

### Our approach

The design system came first: palette, type, photography rules and a dry, short-sentence voice, all drawn from those sources. The site was designed against it and launched as an honest pre-opening site: what padel is, the four rules a newcomer needs, the two courts, the build and where to find it.
